As the field of Actual Play continues to develop and grow, the field of AP criticism has sprung up alongside it. Criticism and critique are often a hot topic in ttrpg circles, giving rise to lively debates about whether Actual Play needs or invites critique. Can critique be a generative force in the creation of art and culture, or is it just a downer for everyone? This panel will consider the role of critics, the purpose of critique, and the opportunities and challenges presented by criticism as it relates to Actual Play.
